2006 Subaru Impreza WRX Track Car

This Subaru Impreza WRX has been extensively built and modified for use as a track car. More than 100K has gone in to this car, and the result is extremely impressive. Starting under the hood, the flat-four is completely rebuilt and is now pushing over 350WHP. The flat-four has been bored out with machined and honed cylinder liners to ensure proper piston to wall clearances and maximize engine life under these conditions. Fitted are custom bore-specific pistons and high performance piston rings all made by CP Pistons running on a forged EJ257 crankshaft and Manley EJ257 connecting rods. This raises the rev limit from 7000RPM to 8500RPM. Also installed is a completely new Supertech valvetrain kit, with 1mm oversized intake/exhaust valves, dual valve springs, and titanium retainers. Kelford R199C Cams are fitted, along with a high performance Gates timing belt. To fit the new valves and cams, the heads were machined. The entire rear end was replaced, starting with a light weight tubular subframe, all STI R180 rear driveline components including hubs, bearings, driveshafts, and an LS differential built for competition use. A custom front air dam/splitter was fabricated to improve stability and downforce. Eibach Pro spacers were installed, along with custom fabricated wheel arches, fenders, and modified sway bars. Custom made high performance front and rear strut braces were also installed. The car’s brake booster and ABS Pump have been eliminated, along with all AC components. Both the brake lines and the intercooler hose have been rerouted for better efficiency on the track, and Ferodo Competition pads and rotors were installed for optimal performance. To keep everything cool, a Mishimoto Performance Radiator was installed along with a P&L front mount intercooler, reengineered brake ducts, and a CW carbon fiber hood scoop. This Subaru is now equipped with machined Delrin linkage bushings for improved feel, GR+ Pro 3 Way Stance Coilovers, Whiteline Camber Plates, Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings, Kartboy Solid Front endlinks, and Kartboy STI rear end links. The power steering pump was also heavily modified for improved flow at high RPM and custom U/J linkage was installed for better steering feel. An equal length primary exhaust manifold was installed, followed by a completely custom 2.5” competition exhaust system including 3 inch high flow metal cat, and an HP resonator. A TIAL 44mm wastegate was installed, along with a completely custom recirculation breather system. Everything is controlled by a COBB AccessPort for controlling engine management, equipped with completely developed track tunes. The car additionally has two Sparco Evo 2 L seats installed, a full fire suppression system, and a full custom roll cage installed by McMahan Autosport.

Has been in heated storage for the past two years - time for a new owner. Built for reliability on the track, not crazy power. Original owner car, clear title in hand.
