1998 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car edition - one of 547 made with the 6-speed manual transmission. Recently purchased (2024) from Florida by a good client of Switchcars who had always wanted one, and who likes making his cars better than when he got them! Since his purchase, the following maintenance and upgrades have been done, addressing nearly all of the common woes of a C5 Corvette:
Clutch Hydraulic fluid flushed, HVAC serviced, new black sunvisors, power seat sliders repaired, Mobil One 5W-30 full synthetic oil change, new wiper blades, brake fluid flushed, rear differential fluid flushed, K&N Filter cleaned, Tensioner pulley replaced, new Firestone Indy 500 tires, new floor mats, new correct windshield decal, Column lock bypass module installed, 1-4 skip-shift eliminator installed, and a new key fob programmed to the car. Prior to his ownership, a new water pump was installed at 33k miles, and the seats were repuholstered. There is a "minor damage" report (not an accident) on Carfax to the right rear, and the repair receipt is included on our website with the rest of the service records.
Overall this is a very clean 1998 Pace Car that's been fastidiously serviced by the most recent owner in order to make sure it's ready for miles and miles of enjoyment, unlike many Corvettes that only see car shows and are riding on original tires and oil that might be just as old "BUT THEY'VE NEVER SEEN RAIN GOBLES". It recently completed the 2024 Corvette Caravan to the National Corvette Museum. The car has a Borla axle-back exhaust, and it comes with recent services records, two keys, one fob, window sticker, and owner's manuals.
