Aurora GRX Slabside Shelby Cobra replica now available! Chassis No. GRX 4048 built in 1982 by Canadian car company Aurora Cars. Based on the 1965 Shelby Cobra AC Roadster. Powered by a Ford 302 engine prepared by Holman-Moody with Weber 44 IDF Carburetors and an upgraded 5-speed Tremec transmission. The exterior paint is finished in Ford GT Midnight Blue Metallic paired with Connelly Saddle leather interior.
This Aurora was purchased by the current owner in 2019, he immediately started to make improvements. The car was sent to renowned Shelby specialist Craig Conley in California who installed and tuned the Weber carbs, performed compression and leak down test, installed GPS speedometer, and much more miscellaneous fixes/upgrades. After that the car was brought to Ohio and the Tremec 5-speed transmission was installed along with a McLeod clutch, lightweight flywheel, and shift lever. The odometer was replaced in 2019 with a digital one and shows 1,027 miles now. The original odometer shows 26,178 kilometers and is included in the sale. The total mileage on the car is 17,293.
This Cobra replica is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically. The exterior paint is in great shape with some very minor imperfections. The interior was reupholstered and is in excellent condition. During the current ownership the car has received all new fluids and should not need anything. It is ready to enjoy!
