European-market 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo now available. This 930 was imported to the US and federalized in 1986 and has remained with the same owner that had it imported. The photo of the odometer at time of importation shows just over 20k miles on an mph speedometer. The owner who had it imported had a new odometer installed with zero miles, and the car has been fully documented with continual mileage accruals from 1986 through present. Therefore we believe the total actual mileage to be around 29k miles, although it will be sold as TMU (true mileage unknown).
This vehicle is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The exterior paint is finished in Guards Red over Black factory Sport Seats with cloth inserts. The exterior was repainted sometime before the vehicle was brought to the US. The exterior paint is in fantastic condition, it still looks fresh and has an incredible luster and is free of swirl marks. The interior is in great condition – the front seats appear to have been reupholstered in the past, and the rear seat fabric centers show some wear.
This 930 received a full engine reseal in 2022 from Steinels Autowerks in Twinsburg, OH. The total repair cost was over $25,000. The owner has kept paper records since his ownership started in 1986, including all the importation paperwork from when the car was imported to the US. This is a very clean and well cared-for example of a Porsche 930 with very low miles. The car will be accompanied with service records from 1986-present, owners manual, and two keys.
