Long-term ownership 1969 Porsche 911S now available! Powered by a rebuilt 2.2L original case flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The exterior is finished in Polo red over black interior. The interior color was originally tan leatherette/pepita, it has since been changed to black with black OE sport seats. This is originally a German delivery vehicle that was imported into the US sometime before 1976 – it has been with the same owner for the last 47 years! The odometer reads in kilometers; the total miles currently are 111,227 (it is a 5-digit odometer that has rolled over 100k once). The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows that the engine and transmission are numbers-matching.
This 911S had a restoration between 2000-2001 performed by the well-known shops Panelwerks for cosmetics and Steinel’s Autowerks for mechanicals. It was repainted in its original color of Polo Red, the original engine was rebuilt with 2.2L P&C, the original five-speed transaxle was rebuilt, a Quaife LSD was installed, and some interior work was performed.
The exterior is in great condition, although as mentioned above the car was repainted over 20 years ago so it is not concours perfect. The interior color was originally tan leatherette/pepita, it has since been changed to black with black OE sport seats. The interior also features an upgraded radio and a Momo steering wheel. The original inoperable radio will be included.
This 911S has service records for the last 25 years including the receipts for the repaint and $30K engine/transaxle rebuild. The car will also come with a certificate of authenticity, owners manual, tool kit, and some miscellaneous parts.
