The Continental T was a special model introduced in 1996 based on the Continental R. The power was improved to 400hp and a whopping 590 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the wheelbase was shortened by four inches and the chassis and suspension was stiffened to give a more sporting feel. Bentley also widened the rear track to help deal with the increased torque, and added rear wheel arches eo properly house the larger rear rubber. Only 217 LHD examples were produced between 1996 and 2003, and the 1998 model year saw the addition of the Matrix grille, perforated leather, leather and aluminium door cappings, chrome gear selector knob, and a relocation of the red engine Start button. When new, the Continental T cost a whopping $324,500 in 1990s dollars, and was the most expensive Bentley produced to date.

This unique car was originally delivered to Canada and still sports the original gauge cluster in metric units. Documentation is extensive and includes both hard-copy service records and stampings in the service booklet. The current owner for whom we are selling the car is a longtime exotic car collector and Rolls/Bentley aficionado. Upon his purchase of the car, he had respected Bentley specialist Gary Scott of Scott Motors go through the car with a fine-tooth comb and an open checkbook to address any and all issues and completely service the car for trouble-free motoring. Approximately $20k was spent ensuring the car was completely up-to-date and it performs wonderfully. In addition to the excellent mechanics, this car shows incredibly well inside and out, and it's obvious that the car has been pampered its entire life.
